Don't give up.....

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life..I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. "God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied."When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said."In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I wouldnot quit." He said."Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Comparedto the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots". "I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you.""Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.""Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high""How high should I rise?" I asked."How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return."As high as it can?" I questioned."Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.Never, Never, Never Give up.For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

É um zoológico só! LOL.

Bom, Nosso assunto de hoje é ferramenta!! Às vezes agente precisa de algumas e se você não as tiver por perto, você fica na mão, né?!

Vamos imaginar que estamos numa estrada, numa Route 66, for example!!

Aí você tem um flat tire*! Isso quase que acaba com nosso passeio! Mas, como meus alunos são precavidos, eles sempre levam um jack com eles!! Não, não! Um jack não é um mecânico que se chama Jack. Nesse contexto, jack é o macaco do carro.

E se sua porta stuck*? Oh my Gosh!! Vamos ter de arrombar! Agora mesmo só um jimmy pode ajudar! Nãoooo, outra vez não é ninguém com esse nome! jimmy nesse caso é um pé - de - cabra!!! Viu? que legal, agora se você for aos USA, já pode ir precavido, porque sem ferramentas você não fica!! Pelo menos sem essas LOL!!!

Agora, só falta você deixar uma frase aqui embaixo utilizando as palavras novas que você aprendeu hoje!

Ele é "Pau pra toda obra!!!"

Sabe aquele encanador "de mão cheia", e que se de repente precisar de um eletricista ele também entende? E quando o pneu do carro furar, ele tem noção de como consertar?

E aquela dor de cabeça que aparece de vez m quando e é pra casa dessa mesma pessoa que você liga e ele tem sempre um chazinho pra indicar??? É o famoso "Par pra toda obra" ou ultimamente "Severino".

Em inglês temos uma expressão para isso! É o "Jack of all trades". Veja o exemplo:

That's why I always call Bob. He's a real jack of all trades!

Você conhece aguém assim? Então coloque uma frase sobre ele aqui embaixo utilizando a nova expressão!!

Vamos meter o pé????

"Hit the road Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more..."

Éééé, às vezes nos encontramos em determinadas situações que a vontade mesmo é de "meter o pé" e deixar tudo pra trás! Ou então virar para aquela pessoa que enche o saco e dizer pra ela (e) "Vazaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa", "rala peito"!!!!

Em inglês temos um equivalente a isso aí, só que uma única expressão, dependendo do contexto, pode ser usada em diversas situações" É a "Hit the road", já cantava o grande Ray Charles!!

Vai um exemplo aí:

e.g. 1. Hey, you're disturbing a lot. Hit the road!!!!

2. Hey Bill, let's hit the road! There comes that old deadbeat again!!!

Viram???? Já podem sair por aí praticando essa nova expressão! Aliás, estou triste pq meus leitores não estão deixando seu alô no blog, deixe pelo menos um comentário ou melhor uma frase usando a exressão aprendida, afinal de contas essa é a razão do blog existir né!!!
